Dr. Janice Doan, a leading San Diego dentist, is happy to introduce her new VIP client: Baby Jake! As many of you know, Dr. Janice and her husband were expecting their first child, and they are happy to announce the arrival of their bundle of joy.

Baby Jake was born on June 29 and is as healthy a tiny tot can be. Dr. Janice is doing fine as well, and is thrilled to be a first-time mom.

As Dr. Janice was caring for her newborn, “Auntie” Dr. Justene Doan was seeing all of our wonderful patients for the time being. Dr. Janice is now back in the office to help patients get the healthiest teeth possible.

A+ Family Dentistry would also like to take this opportunity to give a few reminders about newborn dental care. If your baby has yet to sprout teeth, be sure to wipe his or her gums with a moist cloth or piece of gauze at least twice a day. It’s important to do this after feedings and before bedtime to minimize bacteria growth in your child’s mouth.

As soon as the first teeth grow out, take your baby to a trusted family dentist such as Drs. Janice and Justene. Remember, dental health is a lifelong commitment and it all starts in infancy. The dentist will guide you on which toothpaste and brush to buy, as well as the proper method of cleaning your child’s teeth.
